2009-11-18 - 11:53 p.m. My application got approved for my new apartment, yay! Now all I have to do is go sign the lease. I'm waiting to hear back from them on that. I'm excited just to get away from this place. The new place is letting me move in as early as two weeks before my lease starts, which is awesome. Especially since I'll be moving around the holidays, xmas and new years. In work news, we are getting rid of night shift. Personally, I'm worried about how that will effect our customers. But it will be nicer for customer service not to have to work so late. My supervisor also wants to give me Fridays off instead of Tuesdays, so I get two consecutive days off in a row. Kind of a reward for being a "veteran" customer service person. Unfortunately, it won't change until January. I'm trying to start wearing dresses more often, just to get myself to try something new. My coworker was really nice and took me out shopping the other week. I actually found a really comfy sweater dress and a sweater coat. I want to wear the sweater dress again, but to me it still feels really fancy to wear a dress. Like I have to save dress-wearing for special occasions. I just bought another sweater dress and a shirt dress on sale, so we'll see how they fit. My aikido class ended this week, so now I'm stuck without a physical activity again. They are doing a continuation of our beginner class, and I'm trying decide if I want to give it another shot. This style of aikido is so different from other martial arts I've done. It feels like we spend a large part discussing concepts without doing a lot. But after all, this was an introductory course, so maybe the more advanced classes have a bit more action. It's that love of violence in me that really needs a more active class. Come on, I want to throw someone around or put them in a joint lock at least. I need to hit something. Yes, I know that's not what martial arts are for, but sometimes it's just satisfying to punch something. Time for bed. I might actually get to bed before 1am this time!
